Woodturning A Faux Ceramic Vessel

I will demonstrate my techniques for transforming a block of wood into a stunning piece that will not only enhance the beauty of your home but also make a thoughtful gift. I will show you how to cut the blank on a bandsaw, attach it to the lathe, and use various woodturning chisels to carve and shape both the exterior and interior of the piece. We will then focus on adding colors by using simple methods for applying acrylic paints and achieving a gloss finish that resembles kiln-fired ceramics.
