This is part 2 in a 2 part series exploring different ways to create threaded lids. Hand Chasing is the traditional way to make threads in wood. Starting with the basic technique for Hand Thread Chasing, I will make a box with a threaded lid. Chasing is typically done with very hard wood such as African Blackwood and Boxwood. I will also show my techniques for creating chased threads on vessels and boxes made from softer woods and burls. Accept the challenge!
