Live With Lyle, Burl Management: Cutting and Turning a Burl

Burl management will start with how to evaluate a burl and what to look for and how to cut it for maximum production.  Lyle will show color and grain issues and how to take advantage of burls to make the turned item reflect the character of the burl. Burls are predictable!  There is nothing to be afraid of and it is possible to get something special from the lathe with a burl.  Lyle will turn a hollow form that takes advantage and shows the burl qualities.
