I spent 30 years in Michigan, 30 years in Texas, and moved to Hot Springs, AR in 2012 hoping to spend 30 years there! I’ve been an avid woodworking for a long time, but it wasn’t until retirement and moving to Arkansas that I got interested in wood turning. The local community college offered an “intro to woodturning” course in the fall of 2014 and my brother in law and I thought it might be fun. I was hooked and my addiction to woodturning began. I joined our local club, Central Arkansas Woodturners, and became very involved. Prior to all that I spent 30 years at Compaq, DEC, and Hewlett Packard and quickly saw how I could use my computer and electronic experience to help the club. So I became the self named “communications director, setting up our web site, doing our newsletter, and recording all demos for posting on our web site so members could view at any time.
